I will be performing at the Geiger Festival in Gothenburg on April 13th and 14th! Link to the Facebook event. I will be on Friday the 13th.

Unfortunately my exhibit at the Textival did not go over well and the venue shut the piece down. I guess that's a good way to know it's noisy? Anyway I continue to work on that installation and hope to show it another time.

Also look out for a blog coming up documenting the process of this project. It's been varied and difficult and making a blog about the process will certainly capture some of the different ways of working that must go into a media art project.

During the month of March I held another Media Arts course with Richard at Valand. We explored some interesting themes, especially of a political nature.

I will also be performing at the GAS festival in Gothenburg, in early June. More info at that great festival on their homepage.

Figured I better update with some of my recent activities. Production of my latest installation has been stalled due to lack of time, but I've been up to other things instead:

On Oct 14 I performed with the trio of Mårten Falk, Annal Lindal, and Johan Arrias at 3:e Våningen in Göteborg. I was playing electronics to the group's all-acoustic improvisations. It was a very nice show and hopefully we can produce something again soon.

During the month of October I have been working at Valand School of Fine Arts with Richard Widerberg teaching a month-long media art and technology course. I have focused particularly on teaching seminars on the history of information theory, it's relation to how we use technology, and several concepts around the use of technology in art. Richard has been working with teaching the class basic programming in the Processing language, to get people started on learning to control a computer, as well teaching some concepts of cybernetics.
The course has been an attempt to have a critical view towards IT in art, but from a slightly different angle that what is maybe usually covered - we are interested primarily in the ideas of control and command.

We also have had great guest lectures/workshops by David McCallum and Mika Satomi.
